People who say they are voting for Robert F. Kennedy Jr. are probably low-information voters.

"(CNN)Two real-world studies published Wednesday confirm that the immune protection offered by two doses of Pfizer's Covid-19 vaccine drops off after two months or so, although protection against severe disease, hospitalization and death remains strong."

I know that science fundamentalists have given their hearts to trust in the vaxxes but...not so fast. There's a lot more to be known, as I've been saying all along.

Who are these "naturally immune" people you are talking about. And what does one do to go about becoming one?

If you don't vax, your risk of of being hospitalized or dying from COVID is astronomically higher than for those who are vaxed, and you also are much more likely to spread it. Also, about a third of hospitalized COVID patients are permanently damaged.I'm concerned that my brother, who refused to get vaxed and who was hospitalized for COVID and who still has to take additional oxygen as needed via a cannula. And even worse, he may have spread COVID to others.

    Donna,

One achieves natural immunity by contracting the virus and defeating it.

I posted this article because some here, without conclusive and convincing scientific data, but in the name of science, argue that vax immunity is superior to natural immunity.

Yeah ya see that's where you're demented. Having had and survived Covid-19 does not automatically give one "natural immunity" from it. Ask my previous apartment maintenance manager. Some people seem to have an immunity to it after getting it once, but certainly not everyone. Not even most I'd wager. And many get a much milder attack of it the second time around. But again, not everyone. Not like what you are saying.

So I mask you again, having had it once already, what does one have to do to become naturally immune to it?

I hope this is true. I really do. Because if it's true, we might get to herd immunity -- and back to normal -- more quickly than through vaccination alone.

But I haven't heard anything definitive about whether having covid results in immunity similar to a vaccine. And that's why I asked a question about this the other day. I'd like to know what the scientists have been able to find out.

I suspect your confidence in "natural immunity" has more to do with wishful thinking than any scientific evidence.

Right, po. I'm surprised that there's not more effort devoted to testing for antibodies.

There's still much more to be known. I understand that the most complete immunity is as among people who have had Covid and also been vaccinated.

"There's still much more to be known." -Hate

Certainly there is. But what is known so far is that having gotten Covid-19 once does not automatically make one immune to getting it again.

  9. by HatetheSwamp on October 12, 2021 7:52 am

That's why there should be more antibody testing.

  10. by Ponderer on October 12, 2021 9:03 am

    BOTTOM LINE:

Accusing anyone who believes that "immunity" one gets from vaccines is superior to "natural immunity" is a fool, is pig-ignorant idiocy.
